ASOS BLACK SS12 Collection
ASOS has released a sneak peak into what we can expect from their upcoming spring/summer 2012 BLACK collection. The in-house designed ASOS BLACK brand, whose popularity has continued to grow ever since the release of their first collection, follows on nicely from previous seasons by keeping the collection understated and minimal.
The range sticks to its traditional muted tones of greys, blacks, stones and navy – all of which have been utilised on a variety of garments, including: shirts, outwear, shorts, trousers, knitwear, tees and vests, footwear and accessories.
This collection, although still understated and minimal, has a much more sportier feel than previous incarnations. This is apparent through particular items like the casual bomber and Harrington style jackets, shorts, t-shirts and sportswear influenced footwear.
A wide mix of lightweight fabrics are utilised throughout the range, which only serves to reinforce the texture trend we saw throughout the last autumn/winter season. What is means for you is that even thought the weather might get hotter, you will still be able to create outfits with a sense of depth and character. Abstract shapes and photographic prints have also been largely incorporated within particular garments designs – meaning there are some real statement pieces that allow you to showcase some true individuality.
The collection ranges from an impressive £20 right up to £200, and is set to drop on site February 2012.
