Having been given a seasonal overhaul, one of Barbour’s most popular bag silhouettes – the explorer – makes a welcome return for the autumn/winter 2012 season.
Unlike the traditional Explorer bag, which was built from premium leather, the latest Explorer style has been constructed from high quality wool.
The main body is constructed in deep, dark shades – ensuring that the bag lends itself well to autumn/winter. The navy, green and brown hues are particularly season appropriate.
With a reinforced base ensuring durability, the new style still incorporates the signature features found on the original Explorer, including full leather detailing in the form of leather handles and an address fob.
Similar to the previous leather version, the striped wool explorer incorporates a fundamental shoulder strap for long journeys, as well as the Barbour trade mark tartan lining.
Retailing at £219 it is rather pricey, but for such an extremely smart and sophisticated travel accessory we feel it’s worth every penny.
