An exciting collaboration between designer Mark McNairy and Billionaire Boys Club’s very own Pharrell Williams is predicted to turn heads – with the pair set to release their debut collection, Bee, for autumn/winter 2012.
The move is fitting and smart, with Pharrell’s reputation for urban chic designer products becoming as popular as his music; and when joined by a well respected and experienced American fashion designer, the result is deemed an explosive one.
The urban fashion scene has recently shadowed the common trend of skinny jeans and leather jackets. A complete shift in threads, fittings and designs will work to Billionaire Boys Club’s advantage, with their hip-hop and underground music style clothing of loose fitting shirts, trainers and loud sweaters.
Due to the choice of colour, effective designs and carefully detailed stitching, BBC have themselves a truly bold range of threads on sale. Pharrell’s very presence is integrated into these shirts. The rapper and designer duo have created a range which is very much now; which represents today’s twenty-somethings looking for the next big collection.
And stand out pieces are prominent throughout. FashionBeans has chosen Bee Line’s Corduroy Rust Shirt for the new brand’s leading item. One part country western, one part east coast Hip-hop. A one word summary of this beautiful shirt – and not to mention the entire range – would have to be ‘contemporary’. The block panel design, followed up with a single chest pocket gives this minimal piece a lot to talk about.
