Ben Sherman SS12 Ad Campaign
Only last week we previewed the new Ben Sherman Plectrum Brighton To Tokyo SS12 Lookbook, which if you missed it you can check out here.
However, to re-cap; British based menswear retailer, Ben Sherman, has released a taster of their latest collection in time for the upcoming spring/summer 2012 season.
The line, named ‘Brighton to Tokyo’, is heavily inspired by overseas journeying and hence follows a particular cruise theme, making great use of everyday casual staples.
“Combining classic British design with the Japanese sensibility for style and innovation, we’ve produced a collection that fuses east and west to see wardrobe favourites reworked and restyled in original and unexpected fabrications,” claim the brand.
Polos in a selection of vibrant colourways, check patterning, lightweight outerwear and on-trend chinos make up just a segment of the collection. The line also features a handful of favourites, from chambray and vertical stripes to stylish geek-chic accessories. We can expect the brand’s signature attention to detail and quality finish, as we look to the warmer months with this collection.
Having recently teamed up with the highly acclaimed Dazed and Confused publication, the clothing company have now launched their advertising campaign – ironically shot in neither Brighton or Tokyo. However, the Miami, Florida setting proved perfect for the project, by adding a friendly, warm tone to the imagery.
The campaign will appear in the upcoming March issue and will be accompanied by a short film on Dazed Digital, providing a greater insight into the ideas and motivation behind the collection.
