Blackmeans 2012 Leather Jacket Collection
Steering away from typical seasonal transition, Japanese label Blackmeans have decided to release numerous variations of the structured leather jacket as part of their spring/summer 2012 collection.
Focusing on striking colour ways of blue and mustard yellow, the collection consists of three different styles and shapes – each with its own distinct edge.
From this three piece collection the most eye catching style has to be the two tone blue panel detail leather jacket.
Easily differentiating itself from any other leather jacket on the market at present, this particular jacket features an array of unique features and detailing that allows it to stand out effortlessly against its competitors. These features include: a lapel-less collar with round neck, gold detailing for zips and press studs, slit detailing at each side of the hem and the cuffs, as well as unique electric blue leather paneling which runs along the front of the chest area and half way down each sleeve.
One factor we particularly are fond of is how the panel detailing flows down the jacket and is used to create the flap closures for the two front pockets and the utility pocket on the left hand sleeve.
