Club Monaco Fall 2012 Lookbook
For those of you who are not already familiar with the brand, Club Monaco are a mid priced, high end clothing retailer which has been owned by Polo Ralph Lauren since 1999. However, the label has often downplayed the designer’s ownership of the brand, in order to establish itself in its own right within the industry. With this in mind, today we would like to introduce you to their latest fall 2012 lookbook.
The label has historically focused upon more casual attire, which is often accompanied by a small selection of formal tailoring – this mix allows the brand to create smart casual looks that are both effortless and refined. The fall 2012 lookbook emphasises this ethos through the combining of smartly tailored pieces with typical casual garments – for example, smart suiting with trainers – helping to create the perfect transitional wardrobe for the modern gentleman.
The highly wearable collection sees seasonal textures and fabrics coming in to play, with thicker wools, cable knits and tweeds included to create and exude that cosy feeling that is almost a requirement during the colder winter months. It also builds on last year’s focus on texture, allowing you to create layered outfits with character in an almost three dimensional approach.
One thing we cant help but notice is the inclusion of prints and patterns, especially upon shirting, which proves that the key trend of the SS12 season should dominate menswear throughout the whole of 2012 – so make sure you invest wisely in your printed garments now and consider how they can transition through to autumn/winter.

Awesome collection for this upcoming fall season. In past years, their merchandise have been a “hit or miss.” I guess I liked them when they were still a Canadian company. However, their menswear range is getting better by the looks of this lookbook. I used to work for Club Monaco at their CaƱon Drive store location in Beverly Hills back in the day.
