Having previously collaborated with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson and Robert Cavalli, Diet Coke has now enlisted the talents of French haute couture designer, Jean Paul Gaultier, to produce a new limited edition collection of bottles.
Paying homage to some of the designers most recognised designs; the collection is comprised of two different bottles that have been entitled “Night & Day”.
The Night bottle is reminiscent of Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic cone bra corset design. It includes lace and fishnet detailing has been carefully considered to emphasise and draw attention to the female silhouette – a trait prominent in many of Gaultier’s perfume bottle shapes.
The Day bottle is somewhat less provocative than the night bottle, utilising Gaultier’s famous chic nautical blue and white Breton stripe design.
The “Night & Day” bottles are set to be available in nine countries throughout Europe later this month (April 2012), with a further design being unveiled later in the year. Word is that the third installment in the collection is set to be a “Tattoo” inspired design.
