GANT Rugger New Venice California Store

On perhaps the coolest strip in the US, Abbot Kinney Boulevard is one of LA’s hippest areas for unique shopping – and now the popular vicinity has just got that little bit cooler, with the latest store to hit the block: GANT.

Giving the Boulevard a preppy injection, the new GANT Rugger store is the company’s first West Coast retail location. Located at 1308 Abbot Kinney Blvd, the space is 1,700 square feet and was designed as a GANT Rugger neighbour shop – with a fresh, more modern aesthetic – while still aiming to maintain GANT’s signature vintage feel.

The west coast opening was a natural progression for the brand, as David Arbuthnot, CEO of GANT USA, concludes:

“Los Angeles is a top market for GANT. It was natural for us to expand to the west coast and become part of the Venice Beach community. We are excited to bring our American East Coast heritage to the beach.”

The spacious retail store is set to stock both GANT Rugger and GANT by Michael Bastian (menswear and womenswear) collections, so neither you nor your partner will feel left out on this particular shopping trip.

The stores design includes large sky lights and natural woods, which have been combined with a soft colour palette to help create that all important light and airy feel – ensuring a more relaxed shopping environment. In order to provide customers with an unique shopping experience, the brand have also included a designated tailoring service area as well as cold beers readily available to customers.

Set to officially open early August 2012, the store is actually open now to customers but shelves are still being filled as we speak.
