Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2012 Campaign
As we all wait for the warmer weather months, Marc Jacobs has only served to raise the anticipation by releasing his spring/summer 2012 lookbook.
Modelled by Leopols Nilsson and shot by Lorenzo Marcucci, the lookbook shows off the latest range, which seems to be a mix of both minimalistic classic pieces and more avant garde items.
The more subtle and traditional items from the collection include knit style cardigans, shirts and outerwear with a focus on attention to detail – such contrasting trims as well as gold buttons on blazers. The less traditional pieces from the collection come in the form of waxed style trousers, draw string trousers and let’s not forget – gold plated footwear!
There are some items in the lookbook that we couldn’t help but notice – such as the innovative footwear styles. Gold plated oxford and monk strap shoes are featured, and they are like nothing we have ever seen before. When we think about footwear incorporating gold plated heels and detailing we automatically think we should steer well clear – however, with examples like these soon to be on the market, we might just have to change our mindset.
What do you think of the collection? Let us know in the comments below…
