Opening Ceremony Coming to London
To commemorate the London 2012 Olympics, Opening Ceremony is set to open its first European store in London’s Covent Garden, ahead of the Olympic games in July 2012. The 3,000 sq ft pop up store is set to be a temporary base, until the brand moves into a permanent space further down Kings Street in the autumn.
The pop up shop will carry their own ready to wear line and accessories, as well as lines from the likes of Kenzo, Maison Michel, Toga and Rodarte. The store is also set to launch a wide range of exclusives, collaborations and limited edition items in honor of the games, with unique releases from Proenza Schouler, Pamela Love and Chloe Sevigny to name a few.
Also set to launch at the same time as the pop up store is the highly anticipated release of their newest collaboration with sportswear brand Adidas – which is perfect timing!
Here at FashionBeans HQ we’re not sure what we are more excited about – the prospect of the pop up store with its range of exclusive products, or the launch of the more permanent store. Either way, we predict that both will be an overwhelming success, as we know many readers out there have been yearning for the brand to expand onto UK soil.
