After learning about London Collections: Men, it seems only appropriate to shine a light onto one of its featured designers. With an entirely different take on men’s fashion, Sibling lives outside the box – constantly challenging the ideals behind modern style and male clothing. The collaboration between Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery has seen a focus on redefining knitwear. This has not only thrust Sibling into the fashion spotlight but has ultimately seen it become a trend setter; not a follower.
With a strong urban influence and distinctive youthful quality, the edgy label appears to centre its designs on alternative textures, modern cuts and exceptional detailing. Although the palette consists mainly of black, grey and red, it merely adds to the boldness of each piece.
This is perfectly displayed in the Collection 6 Lookbook shot by photographer Thomas Giddings. Against a plain backdrop, each piece is showcased in its simplest, most advanced form. The most fearless of these being the Pure Evil Pandas Rock! Crew with Balaclava 3. Possibly standing as Siblings most notable piece, this item of knitwear not only shocks but says all that needs to be said about the beautifully bold creative responsible for its design.
Sibling represents the best of modern British design and male fashion. Both bold and brave in its fashion quest. This label is set to continue mixing it up whilst remaining nothing short of being brilliantly unique.
