Rubber Shoes Designed To Be Weatherproof
Converse is taking on the British weather with its new line of its Chuck Taylor All Star trainers, crafted completely from rubber. The autumn run of water-resistant shoes comes in six shades, including black, red, brown, yellow, navy and purple. Each pair has a fleece lining, gusseted tongue and is finished with brass eyelets to offer additional protection. Tonal laces, sole and stitching finish the designs, along with Converse’s signature All Star logo on the side and a branded heel stamp. The complete use of rubber is a first for the American footwear business, which has released the range in unisex sizes. Its latest line follows recent collaborations with the likes of Missoni for AW14, Maison Martin Margiela in May, and a team up with luxury coat maker Hancock in March. In the past the serial collaborator has also worked with Wiz Khalifa, Hudson’s Bay and DC Comics. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Rubber collection is available now via Office, priced at £60 per pair.
