Designers at Leicester-based street wear brand Hype are capitalising on the early season sun by launching a new collection of flip-flops. The label, which was set up by two friends in 2011, is renowned for its attention-grabbing t-shirts. However, this season it has switched gear and released a line of twelve flip-flops, which feature a number of the brand’s recognisable prints, from gold chains and leopard to palm tree explosions. “The new collection of ‘Flips’ has taken inspiration from our mainline, adorning Hype’s well-known prints and translating them onto the new product,” Hype designer and Director, Liam Green, told FashionBeans. “The collection itself features ten bright high summer prints and two Just Hype signature block font branding. We hope these will add that extra bit of colour to your summer even if you aren’t going away. But please don’t wear them with socks, that would upset the jellyfish,” he added. Hype has shot to success its short three years of trading. The firm can now be found in the likes of Topman, Bank, Foot Asylum, USC, Two Seasons, Route 26, River Island and Sole Trader, as well as at the Hype store in BoxPark, Shoreditch. The flip-flop range is available now in men’s sizes six to eleven via all stockists and the Hype online store, priced at £14.99 a pair.
