Jockey Menswear Spring/Summer 2014

Underwear brand Jockey is paying particular attention to its original Y-Front design this season, a style the firm is largely known for inventing. The latest menswear collection uses bright neon accents to give classic underwear silhouettes an update. Jockey established itself as a household name in 1934 by inventing what is now known as the brief. SS14 from the label also includes trunks, boxer shorts, swimwear, loungewear, bags and robes in various travel-inspired colours and patterns. Swimwear prints feature kangaroos, anchors, palm trees and flamingos, representing an international approach. Senior Brand Marketing Manager, Ruth Stephens, said the around the world theme transports wearers “to the sunrise on South Beach, surfing on the Gold Coast and the vibrant nightlife of Rio de Janeiro.” With the 2014 football World Cup taking place in Brazil this year, the label has decided to feature the country’s green and yellow colours heavily. “The collection combines summery colours with bold new colour accents, modern designs and expressive motifs,” added Stephens. In addition to the seasonal collection, Jockey continues to offer its USA Originals, Core and Big and Tall lines. All items are available online now at Jockey.co.uk and via stockists including John Lewis, Fenwick and Debenhams. Underwear prices for the SS14 range start at £13, with swimwear at £26.
