Two Italian Brands Collaborate

Versus Versace is showing off a new rebellious look with its latest collaboration, according to the brand. Designers at the diffusion line have teamed up with fellow Italian name Superga to produce a limited edition footwear style. The result is a revamp of Superga’s classic 2750 shoe, made using one of Versus Versace’s key prints for autumn/winter 2015. The bold print features elements of the brand’s signature imagery, including the Greek key and baroque detailing. Each pair also incorporates the Versace logo on the heel and personalised box. Maintaining the original Superga spec, the shoe is constructed with a cotton upper and natural rubber sole, finished with a Superga label. The collaboration follows a string of successful projects for the footwear label with the likes of Oliver Spencer, DC Comics and Comme des Garçons. In the past Donatella’s Versus range has partnered with M.I.A, K-Way and J.W.Anderson. After being headed by Christopher Kane, the line took a new direction after being taken over by Anthony Vaccarello earlier in the year. The Superga x Versus Versace trainers will be available from 29th June, priced at £100 per pair. Stockists will include selected designer boutiques and trainer stores, as well as online via both Versace and Superga.
