Designer Returns To Booming Men’s Fashion

Canadian designer Todd Lynn has confirmed the return of his menswear line for SS15. The move marks the end of a three-year hiatus, which began with Lynn’s last men’s range in SS12. Inspiration for the new collection comes from 2013 film Under the Skin, staring Scarlett Johansson. Black dominates the colour scheme, with some pieces featuring sand and off-white accents. Tailoring is carried with cut-away and cropped tuxedo jackets paired alongside matching shorts complete with button detail on the hem. Leather comes in two forms: an ultra light type used on sportswear including hoodies, and a thicker fabric for jackets including a biker silhouette with silver bottle cap embellishments. Prices for the menswear range start at £170 for t-shirts, £450 for knitwear and £1,600 for outerwear. Lynn’s first confirmed stockist is boutique store Hervia Bazaar and online at Hervia.com. In recent years the Central Saint Martins graduate has concentrated on his mainline womenswear and partnership with high street retailer Debenhams. Further carriers of the men’s line are expected to be announced later in the year. It is not yet clear whether the former Roland Mouret employee’s deal with the department store will expand to pick up on the relaunch.
