Italian fashion house Antony Morato has launched its AW14 menswear campaign, taking the brand international as part of a new fashion film project. Available from early September, key pieces in the Places campaign include a single-breasted twill jacket with contrasting sleeves, printed t-shirts and denim. Footwear is covered by a line of suede, low-top trainers that feature a metallic toe cap, tassel detailing and leather insole. Other styles include textured leather hi-tops, which make use of double zips, lace-up tubes and a branded side plate. Antony Morato chairman and brand art director Lello Caldrelli enlisted photographer Toni Thorimbert and up-and-coming Italian film director Brando De Sica. Both artists worked together to capture three fictional characters wearing the AW14 collection in various European environments. The resulting documentary focuses on three cities that Lello said have particularly influenced the label; Naples, Barcelona and London. “We wanted to describe the cities which influence our collective imagination through the same eyes as we all have, through the same eyes I saw and see these three places when we are looking for ideas and inspiration,” he added. The project will first go live through digital channels and social media before it becomes a photographic exhibition next month. Antony Morato’s AW14 collection is available to buy in licensed retailers and online now. Prices start at £39.90 for t-shirts.
