Neighborhood AW11 Outerwear
Japanese brand Neighbourhood has released their autumn/winter 2011 outerwear collection.
This collection is made up of the Class 5 Down Jacket, The Peacoat and The Dartford Jacket.
The Class 5 Down Jacket is a collaboration with outdoor experts Class 5-Moutaineering Equipage, which creating a padded hooded 60/40 down jacket. The jacket has been designed to ensure comfort and durability; keeping in the warmth but also protecting you from the elements at the same time. Apart from the padded body it features various front pockets, detachable hood, small leather detailing and a contrast coloured lining.
The Peacoat is our favourite from the collection and has been heavily influenced by its military roots – specifically the US Naval. It is primarily made of wool but has a leather trim and detailing to the sleeves. Other key features include: double breasted fastening, inside pockets as well as multiple front pockets, two traditional lower flap pockets and two hand warmer pockets located above.
Last but by no means least is the Dartford Jacket. This is a more traditional styled waxed jacket that is again influenced by the US Naval. Features a removable adjustable belt, various front pockets and a contrasting plaid lining. One detail that we are very fond of here was the addition of a brown corduroy collar – it brings another tactile into the mix, shows great attention to detail and gives a nod to the heritage trend.
