Lakai Footwear for Schuh
Founded by Mike Carroll and Rick Howard after leaving DC Shoes in 1999, Lakai Limited Footwear was built solely with the skateboard scene of California in mind. They’re simply stated as “The Shoes We Skate”, and could entice even the most serious of man into jumping freely on to a skateboard. The personal dedication and passion that went into creating the shoes even inspired the duo into creating a new line of skateboards too.
It has now been confirmed that high-street shoe shop ‘Schuh’ are going to carry a selection of the Lakai brand. Schuh are renowned for carrying similar brands, such as Converse and Vans, but Lakai Limited shoes are only available for men.
Although each shoe has an individual look, all of them are constructed using a tough suede upper, lightweight sole and shock absorbant insole. They can be identified with their increasingly popular logo, which is placed on the side of the shoes.
Only 4 different styles of the trainers are currently available: The Lakai Mariano, Lakai Manchester, Lakai Brea and Lakai Guy, but more are expected to be released just before winter 2012.
Prices start from £53, and they’re now available to buy online at Schuh.
