MenDoza has launched their winter coat range just in time for the typical British weather to arrive! Keeping to their mid 60s to late 70s influence and classic British tailoring, the outerwear range can only be described as sharp and formal yet flamboyant and quirky. Their personal aim is to “turn the generic sidewalk Simon’s into pavement peacocks.”
Focusing on the quality and finish of their garments, each coat is made within a 5 mile radius of their Brick Lane store. Fastenings and detailing are sourced from 60s dead-stock fabric (where possible) or from British suppliers. To ensure exclusivity, some coats are only manufactured in batches of 10 and can be made to order to your individual measurements – a great opportunity to find a coat that is both unique and fits perfectly.
Each coat is double breasted with dramatic, large collars and deep, oversized pockets in order to emphasise masculine features and a strong silhouette. The heavy wool construction helps keep in the warmth and provides a durable, tough exterior.
To challenge the typically monochrome colours that are associated with traditional winter coats, MenDoza also offer a daring floral jacket in green, red, yellow and blue on an oatmeal base. Keeping the shape of their popular Turpin jacket, the floral pattern certainly offers an eye catching alternative for those wanting to stand out from the crowd (trousers to match are also available). The Turpin coat comes in jet black and chocolate brown for a more understated look, instead relying on the precise detailing that MenDoza are renowned for.
Would you like to become MenDoza’s desired ‘pavement peacock’ by wearing one of their extravagant, colourful coats with confidence and pride? Or would you prefer to choose the more subtle approach, opting for quality and exclusivity? Luckily, MenDoza’s coat range provides both!
