Topman has released a new range of graphic t-shirts, incorporating a novel dyeing technique known as ‘dye sublimation’, to produce a line of high quality prints that stand out significantly from the legions of graphic t-shirts in stores today.

Dye sublimation uses heat to vaporise the dye so that it permeates the t-shirt before returning to solid form. This creates a clearer image, as the individual dots that make up the print have a gradual edge, bleeding into each other to create an overall sharper graphic. Another advantage comes from the fact that the material is impregnated with dye, so it is far less likely to lose colour or fade over time. From a fashion perspective, this process gives the t-shirts a soft, vintage wash.

The T-shirts come in a variety of classic prints and on-trend Aztec patterns. Topman really capitalises on the quality of printing available to them by creating large, colourful graphics that cover the entire front of the t-shirt rather than just a panel. Cityscapes and scenes with a lot of lighting show off the improved quality and attention to detail that the printing enables.
